Come on over and see what awesome things our students have been working on in P.E. this schoolyear!

Dearborn Park International School making cuts to keep beloved guidance counselor

Dearborn Park International School is in the news!

Dearborn Park International School is collecting classroom supplies to keep our school counselor. The Seattle School District eliminated guidance counselors from elementary schools a few years ago in a cost-cutting measure, but we are cutting costs where we can at DPIS in order to keep what is essential to our school. Our counselor is essential to our school.

We are thankful for our fantastic community and families who help us to add supplies to our stock room and classrooms, as we continue to provide our students with an excellent education. The Parent-Teacher Association is now collecting everything from computer keyboards to construction paper to help fill the void left in the school's budget.

Volunteers have set up an Amazon Wish List to gather some items and are also accepting monetary and physical donations in person.

Please visit KOMO News 4 for the full story.

We're Award Recipients....Again!

The Washington Achievement Awards celebrate the state’s top-performing schools.
Award-winning schools have at least one thing in common: the power to profoundly affect student learning. Award-winning schools are identified through the revised Achievement Index, criteria set in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Flexibility Waiver, and criteria approvedby the State Board of Education (SBE).

It is with great pride to announce that Dearborn Park International School has again received a Washington Achievement Award in Math Growth

This confirms it: our students are BRILLIANT!
