CANCELLED: Afterschool Sports
Hello Families,

This is Principal Bogan. It saddens me to have to call you this evening with bad news. I am canceling After School Sports until further notice. This has become a safety issue. Mr. Adams has graciously supervised after school sports for the past 14+ years. This year we have dealt with theft, bullying, too many children without a safe amount of consistent volunteers and lastly, today a child called 911 for a non-existent emergency from the gym phone.

Mr. Adams and I will talk about the best way to reintroduce after school sports sometime after spring break. I truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause your family. I must put the safety of our students first. As a reminder, all students must be picked up at 2:50 P.M. daily.
If you have any questions, please call the office.

Thank you.

Dearborn Park students take their circus act on the road

S.C.A.T.S. (Seattle Cirque & Acrobat TeamS) at Dearborn Park International School travels around the Greater Seattle area performing for schools, colleges  (such as Seattle Pacific University, University of Washington and Seattle University), Sports Teams (like the Storm and Seahawks), festivals and parades.

You have to watch these kids juggling, flipping and doing the hula hoop while balancing on top of a ball.

Coached by teacher Ed Adams, student activities include tumbling, juggling, unicycling, jump rope, handwalking, ballwalking and world class Double-Dutch.

Washington Achievement Award Recipients!

The Washington Achievement Awards celebrate the state’s top-performing schools.
Award-winning schools have at least one thing in common: the power to profoundly affect student learning. Award-winning schools are identified through the revised Achievement Index, criteria set in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Flexibility Waiver, and criteria approvedby the State Board of Education (SBE).

It is with great pride to announce that Dearborn Park Elementary received a Washington
Achievement Award in Math Growth

We’ve always known our students are BRILLIANT!
